Charles Amoatey, PhD
Prof. Amoatey is the Program Director of the Development Impact West Africa (DIWA) Initiative. He holds a PhD. in Transport Finance, MSc in Infrastructure Planning, MBA in Finance and International Management and BSc in Civil Engineering. Charles has supported several public sector agencies and international agencies in setting up M&E systems and development of policies. His interest is in evaluation of social programs.

Richard is Evaluations and Research Manager for the Development Impact West Africa project. His research interest is in Institutionalization of Evaluation Practice and Evaluation Methods. He is currently a PHD candidate from the University of Witwatersrand and holds an MPhil and Post graduate diploma in Evaluation Methods from University of Stellenbosch South Africa as well as MSc Development Finance from University of Ghana.

Maya manages CEGA’s Global Networks portfolio, which currently includes Development Impact West Africa (DIWA), the East Africa Social Science Translation (EASST) Collaborative, the BRAC-CEGA Learning Collaborative (BCLC), and the Working Group on African Political Economy (WGAPE). She has previously worked as a Research Associate for J-PAL South Asia; coordinating an agricultural RCT in Gujarat and later developing a partnership between J-PAL and the Government of Tamil Nadu. Maya holds an MA in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a BA in International Development from McGill University.

Chelsea supports CEGA’s training and capacity building network, including Development Impact West Africa (DIWA), the East Africa Social Science Translation (EASST) Collaborative and the BRAC-CEGA Learning Collaborative. Before joining CEGA, Chelsea worked in academic administration at UC San Diego’s International Students and Programs Office. She holds a Master’s in International Affairs from UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy and a BA in International Relations from San Francisco State.

Samuel Botchway
Mr. Botchway is an Administrative Assistant on the Development Impact West Africa (DIWA) Project. He is responsible for performing administrative tasks which include, report writing, proofreading, research assistantship and team collaboration. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Resource Development with Archaeology from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Nissi Adu-Boakye is an Administrative Assistant who supports administrative work on the Development Impact West Africa (DIWA) funded by The Hewlett foundation. Nissi believes that Impact Evaluation serves as a major means in determining how well a program has worked. It is therefore important and needful that one is equipped with necessary skills and resources in order to conduct an excellent impact evaluation. In addition to being an administrative assistant, Nissi holds a BSc in Business Administration and a Master of Arts student in Monitoring and Evaluation. She delights in reading books and listening to music.
